Michael (Mike) Wilkinson is a Lecturer in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy teaching into Functional Anatomy and Biomechanics and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy units. Mike has 15 years of clinical experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, including advanced practice and extended scope roles within neurosurgery and orthopaedics. He holds a Bachelor of Kinesiology (Memorial University of Newfoundland), a Master of Physiotherapy (Glasgow Caledonian University), and is currently undertaking his PhD at CQUniversity. Mike is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with an active interest in shoulder biomechanics, working with tactical occupations, the non-operative management of neurosurgical and orthopaedic conditions, and the role of advanced practice physiotherapy in changing existing models of healthcare.
