About Me

Dr. David McNaughton is a Senior Lecturer at CQU, Brisbane Campus. He teaches into the units Clinical Practice 2/3, and Mental Health Literacy for Health Professionals.

David has 10 years clinical experience as a chiropractor and has completed two higher degrees by research in Psychology. His research investigates psychological processes in chronic health conditions, drawing upon elements of health psychology, health services and neurobiology. He has experience in population health studies, randomised control trials of physical and behavioural interventions, psychometric analyses, and psychophysiological experimental paradigms. Further, he has experience in curriculum development and innovation at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in psychology and chiropractic.

David's current projects focus on the implementation of digital mental health services for chronic conditions in primary care and national healthcare accreditation schemes.
