About Me
I initially developed the acclaimed Bachelor of Paramedic Science and had since taken up positions as Deputy Dean (Learning and Teaching) within the school paramedicine sat within, then expanded to the School of Business and Law and is now the Director of Learning and Teaching Futures. In 2022 I received a Vice-Chancellor's Commendation for Outstanding Practice in Learning and Teaching in recognition of the sustained positive impact on the overall student experience, for the innovative creation of the first student-developed and student-led academic integrity program - Students Against Academic Misconduct - centred on education and preventing academic misconduct. I was also the recipient of the Vice-chancellor's Award for Outstanding Contributions to Learning and Teaching in 2019. In 2022 I was appointed Fellow Higher Education Research and Development Society of Australasia and Principle Fellow HEA in 2023. In 2022 I was part of a team that received an award for Best Practice in International Education award for Cross-Cultural Engagement with Students from the Subcontinent Academic and Professional Staff Resource Kit (CQU). I completed my PhD with ACU in 2025.

Background
Anthony Weber was for over 20 years an Intensive Care and Flight Paramedic with the Queensland Ambulance Service, from which he was awarded the prestigious ‘Paramedic of the Year’ award for Central Region in 2006. Associate Professor Anthony Weber's background is a blend of academic achievements, research contributions, and active engagement in professional networks. Attainment of his PhD (2025) and the Graduate Certificate in Research (2022) demonstrates formal training in research methodologies and equips him with the essential skills for designing and conducting high-quality research projects. The master's degree serves as the foundation of your research career, providing you with in-depth knowledge and expertise in health sciences research. Associate Professor Weber has a substantial record of research publications across various journals and topics, and demonstrates the ability to design, execute, and disseminate research findings.
