Dr. Thomas Williams is a researcher in Precision Livestock Management at Central Queensland University (CQU). He holds a postgraduate degree from Charles Sturt University and completed a postdoctoral position with the Large Ruminant Health team, where he focused on feedlot therapeutics and diagnostics. Dr. Williams specialises in developing, evaluating, and implementing sensor systems in the extensive beef industry, enabling the capture of previously difficult-to-measure data to support enterprise management decisions. Since 2020, his research has focused on advancing remote monitoring techniques and methodologies to capture health, welfare, and production data in extensive grazing systems, supported by funding from MLA, the Future Drought Fund, and the TNQ Drought Hub.
