About Me

I am an enthusiastic educator who loves passing on knowledge and skills to upcoming sonographers. I pride myself on being a well rounded educator who is always looking for new and exciting ways to assist students in learning.

Always one to set challenges for myself within my academic or clinical career but also in my outside interests. I set my sights high for achievements and trust my dedication to continually improve myself enhances my teaching abilities.

Encompassing a healthy lifestyle outside of academia and clinical work (as we need to remain fit and healthy for our physically and mentally demanding career), I engage in weight lifting, strongwoman competitions, body building and triathlons.

General
Background

My first tertiary qualification was a Bachelor in Health Science which lead to a Masters in Clinical Physiology (Cardiac).

This provided work opportunities in the cardiac field where I then gained a trainee employment position so I could study the DMU of cardiac ultrasound.

I am now completing the Post graduate certificate in Tertiary Education and hope to progress onto a PHD as research is the next challenge I would like to tackle, in the hopes of providing valuable information to improve the career longevity of sonographers and of course always improve patient care.
