About Me

I completed my Bachelor of Nursing in 2008 in Mackay with CQU. Before I began studying to be a Registered Nurse I was an Enrolled Nurse. I have worked in a variety of areas but was always most at home when nursing in my community. I have always liked the feeling of connection when you know your patients, have an understanding of their lives and are involved with their health goals and planning. I transitioned into Nursing education when I joined the VET team teaching Diploma of Nursing students. My journey so far has included the opportunity to work with students in the Diploma and Bachelor courses and their clinical placements and simulation. I believe education is a great leveller and that a qualification can change your life.
