Hello, my name is Lauren MacDonald and I am a Lecturer - Medical Imaging for the School of Health, Medical and Applied Sciences at CQUniversity.
I have a special affinity with the people and communities of Central Queensland as this is where I was born and raised.
After completing an undergraduate degree at the Queensland University of Technology in 2010, I returned to Central Queensland to work as a radiographer. Over the last 9 years, I have held various radiography roles in the Rockhampton region. In 2013, I was fortunate to receive a NAHSSS scholarship which allowed me the opportunity to study a postgraduate degree through Charles Sturt University. I recently completed a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment through CQUniversity, which encouraged me to take the next step in my career and pursue an academic role.
I am passionate about general radiography, 'back to basics' radiography, clinical education, radiographic image interpretation, quality assurance, rural and remote healthcare, and patient-centered healthcare.
