I am an interdisciplinary lecturer in Public Health at the School of Health, Medical and Applied Sciences, CQU. My research focuses on the contribution of acculturation strategies and family dynamics to individuals' health and well-being. My doctoral thesis, revolving around core concepts and issues in social psychology and cultural studies, explored the influence of interacting determinants such as mental health, culture, identity, and language on the psychological and socio-cultural adaptation process of Iranian migrants in the Australian context and investigated intergenerational and marital relations within their families.
In 2020, I was honored to be awarded 'Student Voice Commendation’ for teaching the unit 'Cultural immersion and lived experiences' (PBHL20007) at CQU.
