Michelle is a teacher and Head of Course for VET in the School of Nursing, Midwifery & Social Sciences at CQUniversity in Townsville, Australia. Michelle has teaching experience both in Higher Education and Vocational education. She considers her area of expertise as vocational education from certificate through to diploma level qualifications. Michelle's clinical specialty is neurosciences nursing.
Michelle commenced her Bachelor of Nursing study through Avondale College, where she lived in the nursing quarters and worked at the hospital while studying. This unique opportunity cemented her passion for nursing and appreciation for the multidisciplinary team. Michelle later transferred and completed her Bachelor through Griffith University in 2000.
Michelle's clinical specialty is Neurosciences. She has spent a large portion of her nursing career in this specialty and completed a Graduate Diploma of Clinical Nursing in Neurosciences through ACU.
Outside of nursing, Michelle has a passion for quality and teaching. She has previously taught in Higher Ed at ACU and worked as a Quality Improvement Officer for Mater Health Services.
