I am an accredited medical sonographer and passionate educator working in the field of Medical Imaging for over 7 years. I began my career as a radiographer in the private sector then developed an interest for sonography. I decided to pursue my career in ultrasound because I enjoyed the diagnostic nature of the profession. I trained and practiced sonography in Rural Western Australia servicing largely the South West Region. I later graduated with a Masters of Medical Sonography through University of South Australia in 2018. The rural experience was invaluable for me since it allowed me to work in a range of environments such as large hospital settings to smaller outpatient clinics as well as performing duties as an on-call sonographer for emergency ultrasound examinations. I have been trained in multiple areas within ultrasound such as General, MSK, Vascular, Small Parts, Breast, Obstetrics and gynaecology and Peadiatrics thus I believe I well equipped to tutor students both in a clinical and academic capacity.
I moved to Perth to transition into the field of academia in 2018. I currently work for CQU part time as a Clinical Academic and outside of this role I work as a senior sonographer in a Public Hospital.
