About Me
I am an Academic - Teaching and Research, within the College of Science and Sustainability in the School of Health, Medical and Applied Sciences. Following several other scientific roles, I was employed by CQUniversity in 2011 as a Research Officer on water chemistry and aquatic-ecosystem management projects. Since 2014, I have conducted various teaching roles across Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Analytical Science and Land Rehabilitation Units. I have been in a continuing role since 2020. My research interests include multi-variate data analysis; metal speciation and potential bioavailability; mine-affected water; water and sediment quality of Great Barrier Reef catchments; and more broadly, the application of analytical chemistry techniques and environmental models during environmental monitoring and management. I also have an interest in coal mine site rehabilitation. Examples of previously funded projects include: 'Technical Review of Dee River, Fitzroy Basin, Water Quality Baseline Condition and Trigger Values', 'Investigating the environmental requirements of a Lower Fitzroy Water Quality Monitoring Program', 'Analysis of 10-years of Fitzroy Basin Water Monitoring Data', 'South Trees Inlet: Fish Health and Mud Crab Assessment Options' and 'Science coordination, data investigation and technical support for waterway health reporting with Fitzroy Partnership for River Health'.
