About Me

AJ Glazebrook is a psychological research strategist, and creator of effective psychological and neurocognitive-based wellbeing strategies, programs, and tools. Her work seeks to understand and inspire optimal human performance, health, and overcoming obstacles, for individuals and groups and home and at work.

General
Background

Current research focus: Neuroscience and enhancement of posttraumatic growth (advantageous psychological transformation following trauma). Examining eye-tracking and EEG neuromarkers of posttraumatic growth, Trialing the use of a novel neurofeedback intervention to enhance posttraumatic growth. 

 

Previous research and career in industry focused on:

  • Enhancing young worker occupational health and safety through neurocognitive and developmental psychoeducation: The YOLO (Young Only Live Once) Young Worker Safety Intervention AJ co-developed and co-delivered with the Stanwell Corporation Health & Safety department won a national Australian Psychological Society award in 2015. The program successfully reduced young work injury and still continues to be run successfully to this day (Program development and facilitation; Tool development);
  • Enhancing workplace Health and Safety Leadership behaviours using psychological principles (Policy, program, and tool development; Mentoring);
  • Enhancing Interpersonal Relationships and Resolving Conflicts (Program development and facilitation; Mediation)
  • Identifying benefit-finding process hierarchy in families raising a child with food hypersensitivity (Published Honours research; Theory development).
