Warren works in CQU's School of Business and Law as a Teaching Scholar and is based on the Melbourne campus. He has extensive experience teaching domestic and international students face-to-face and by distance learning. Warren joined CQU in July 2013 and had previously worked for CQU’s subsidiary, C Management Services (CMS) since July 2001. His main teaching and administrative responsibilities are in the undergraduate marketing discipline.
Warren is a graduate of Victoria University of Technology (VUT). He holds a Bachelor of Business in Applied Economics, a Graduate Diploma in Marketing, and a Master of Business in Marketing. Warren is also a qualified workplace trainer and assessor.
Warren’s previous teaching experience has been at Victoria University of Technology (Higher Education) and at Chalmers Institute (TAFE).He has held positions as Teacher, Tutor, Lecturer, Course Coordinator and Faculty Coordinator.
Prior to becoming a full-time educator, Warren worked in a number of roles within the banking/finance, automotive, Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and athletic footwear and apparel industries. He has also provided marketing advice to a number of small to medium size businesses in the services sector.
Warren achieved the status of Fellow of the Australian Marketing Institute (FAMI) in April 2017 in recognition of his commitment to the marketing profession in Australia and his own professional development. Warren fosters close links with advertising and marketing professionals from industry and likes to keep up-to-date with the latest developments in marketing practice believing this to be of great benefit to his students.
Warren is Unit Coordinator for a number of undergraduate marketing units.
Warren’s current research orientation is focused on small business marketing. In particular, issues affecting the exportability and marketability of Australian services in the Asia-Pacific region.
