About Me

Accurate balanced introspection can be a challenge. But I aspire to being a cheerful, harmless, diligent, thoughtful human being.

General

Background

Well I was born in a small town in Victoria But my parents felt a calling to travel north. So Yeppoon became my home town. In many ways I've had a good life. I have a lot to be thankful for. My parents gave me a safe environment in which to grow up but also as a child there were opportunities for adventure on the property.

I guess you could say that Education has always been important to me and this is probably the right attitude as we never stop learning. After many years of experience working around parts of Australia and also overseas I have found there is no place like home. But I treasure all those feelings of wonder and adventure as I saw and experienced unforgettable moments in my travels.

Previous teaching

I have spent up to 4 1/2 years teaching English in South Korea.

Professional Experience

In terms of work experience the basic components would be Industrial through Asia Brown Boveri and Educational through teaching overseas and being part of the CQU team.

Responsibilities

Despite not having any children of my own I feel that my job has provided me with an over abundance of purpose for my life. For this I am sincerely grateful. In the most simple terms my title is "Laboratory Supervisor" and yet there is so much more to this role than one might imagine. For me my role is about empowering people to grow and enrich their lives with knowledge and experience so they can step into newer brighter lives in the future. This is just part of the "Service to Others" code of behavior which is rooted deep within my being.

Professional Interests

We live within a world of ever changing technologies, understandings and potentials.  The ability  to share, communicate, explore and create is growing every day for so many individuals on this place we call home. Technology is at the heart of this change. The empowerment of the individual to be more in their lives, this is what excites me. The bringing together of like minded people from around the world to create solutions for the human race. This is what interests my mind.
