About Me

I am a Lecturer at CQUniversity, Australia. I have earned a PhD in Management from La Trobe University, Australia. I have published in 14 international journals such as Personnel Review, Journal of Developing Areas, International Journal of Economics and Management, and International Business Research, among others. I have also authored and co-authored four book chapters and presented 33 papers in international conferences. I have edited two volumes of the ‘East West Journal of Business and Social Studies’ as the Assistant Editor. I have recently joined the editorial board of the Journal for Service Quality Enhancement (JSQE). My papers have earned several international awards such as GBMF UN OMAHA Best Paper Award 2008, Australasian Conference on Business and Social Sciences Best Paper Award 2015 and ‘Best Innovative Paper’ award in Sydney International Business Research Conference 2015. I have received ANZAM 2019 Best Stream Reviewer award and ‘AABL Academic Leadership Award’ for outstanding conference coordination of the Melbourne International Business and Social Science Research Conference 2019 and a 'Gold Certificate' for highly rated unit for my unit coordination and teaching roles at CQUniversity, School of Business and Law. I have received AusAid Australian Leadership Award (ALA) for my PhD program in 2009 and La Trobe Gold Leadership award in 2012 for community contribution. In 2021, I received a certificate of recognition for my success and contribution in academia by the Victorian Multicultural Commission (VMC). I served overseas as the Associate Professor and Deputy Executive Director of the 'East West University Center for Research and Training'. In my additional role, I have successfully managed a World Bank funded ‘Higher Education Quality Enhancement Program (HEQEP)’ sub-project on capacity building and knowledge sharing (2014-2016). I am currently supervising five PhD and six Research Masters students at CQUniversity. My current research interests are, high performance work systems, decent work, gig economy, leadership, offshoring, sustainable supply chain management, international business and HR analytics.

- Received the prestigious Australian Leadership Award (ALA), an Australian Government Scholarship (AUS AID) for PhD studies for four years from March, 2009 till March, 2013.

- Received Gold La Trobe Leadership Award for community contribution from the Pro VC, La Trobe University in 2012.

-I have delivered a masterclass on November 13, 2020. This virtual masterclass on 'New Supply Chain Management: Sustainable and Agile for a Post-Covid-19 World' was arranged by Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) to promote Australian higher education to the Latin American (LATAM) countries. About 300 viewers joined the session from mainly LATAM region.

Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP): Under my leadership, EWUCRT was awarded a research grant of AUD$170,750 (appx.) by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Bangladesh, funded by the World Bank under Academic Innovation Fund-III (July, 2014).

MoU for capacity building: I have initiated and signed an MoU on behalf of EWUCRT with Victoria University of Wellington in June, 2015.
