My whole working life has been in the Health Care Industry. I started as a Pharmacy Assistant at the age of 15 and then moved into General Practice as a Medical Receptionist. During my 32 years in General Practice, I became Practice Manager, as well as a consultant for overseas Doctors and then eventually, I completed my Cert III in Health Support Services and then my Diploma of Nursing in 2011. I continued working in General Practice as both a Nurse and a Manager, and then started working on weekends teaching a Medical Receptionist course. This is where I found the greatest gift of sharing my knowledge and skills with others. In 2016 I left the Gold Coast to join CQUniversity in Rockhampton.
