About Me
Dr Kalam Azad is a Senior Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering at the School of Engineering and Technology, Central Queensland University, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. His field of expertise is renewable energy technologies, energy conversion, thermofluids engineering and their relevant industrial applications. His research focused on clean energy production, conversion, and storage (FOR code 401703) to mitigate environmental pollution. He has had a strong publication track record throughout his career. So far, he has been published about eighty scientific articles, including edited refereed books, book chapters, journal articles, and conference papers. The international research community has strongly demonstrated the recognition of his research through a large number of citations and h-index both in Scopus and Google Scholar. His name has been listed in the “World top 2% researcher” based on citation in the Energy category released by Stanford University, powered by Elsevier in 2020. He has demonstrated excellent editorial skills by publishing SIX edited books with Elsevier in recent years. He served as a section editorial board member for “Sustainable Energy”, Energies (Q2 Journal), Switzerland and guest editor of a Special Issue with “Frontiers in Energy Research” (Q2 Journal), Frontiers. He is also working as a reviewer of different renowned international journals and books. He received many awards and recognitions throughout his career. For instance, he received the “Deans’ Award – Early Career Research” in 2020, “On-campus Educator of the Year” & “Student Voice Commendation Award” in 2019 and “Publication Recognition Award” in 2017 at CQUniversity, Australia. Besides, he has five years of work experience in the relevant industry. Currently, he is a member of different professional bodies throughout the world.
