I was born and raised in Adelaide, where I attended Flinders University to study a Bachelor of Health Science (Paramedic). Following completion of this degree I worked as an Ambulance Paramedic with South Australian Ambulance Service for 3 years, before moving to Melbourne, where I worked as an Ambulance Paramedic for Ambulance Victoria for 2 years. During my time at Ambulance Victoria I also worked in the Clinical Education Department, where I taught new paramedic interns during their induction, and also assessed interns at the end of their program to become qualified.
In June 2015 I moved to Townsville with my husband, and began working as a Paramedic Lecturer with CQUniversity. I completed the Graduate Certificate of Tertiary Education via distance study at CQUniversity and am currently studying a Masters Degree.
