Deanne has been a clinical sonographer since 2001, and radiographer prior to that, working in a variety of hospital and outpatient departments and in various specialties. Work experience has included tertiary obstetric centres, women's imaging, and specialist musculoskeletal practice. Over this time, she has and continues to train sonography students in the clinical post-graduate setting.
Involvement with the Australasian Sonographer's Association (ASA) in various capacities has been ongoing since 2003, including as a member of the ASA Board, Queensland Branch Committee, Soundeffects Committee, Special Interest Group, Sonography Journal Peer Review Panel, and invited speaker to national conferences. Deanne also peer reviews for the Journal of Medical Radiation Sciences (JMRS).
Deanne has been a lecturer at CQUniversity Australia since 2014, and holds the position of Head of Course, Medical Sonography.
