Associate Lecturer, Sherrie Bolton, is an academic being part of the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Sciences (SNMSS) at CQUniversity Rockhampton Campus. Sherrie teaches into the Bachelor of Nursing. Sherrie has just begun her research journey commencing a PhD and has a research focus on leadership and moral distress in nursing.
In the past Sherrie completed a Bachelor of Nursing in 2012 where her nursing career started in the graduate nurse program at Hillcrest Private Hospital in 2013. The areas of focus were surgical, medical, and mental health. She then became a clinical nurse of Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU) Stages 1, 2 & 3 and further developed her career being a Workplace Health and Safety Representative for the Operating Theatre Suite. Sherrie then completed her Master of Nursing majoring in Leadership and Management followed by a Graduate Certificate in Research.
Sherrie completed her Bachelor of Nursing at CQUniversity in 2012. She then progressed to complete her Master of Nursing majoring in leadership and management at James Cook University in 2020. To enhance her understanding and knowledge of research, Sherrie then completed a Graduate Certificate of Research at CQUniversity in 2024. Sherrie she has now enrolled in her Doctor of Philosophy (Nursing) at Flinders University.
